Lahore Qalandars Very Confident Of Winning PSL Trophy
Because of some issues, the Pakistani Cricket Team Captain Azhar Ali and his teammate Umar Akmal will join the team later in Dubai.
The CEO of Lahore Qalandars Rana Atif said that, “Lahore Qalandars will be a tough team to beat this time.” His team is hoping for a better result and they finished fifth in the last tournament.
Brendon McCullum will replace Azhar Ali as the captain of Lahore Qalandars team. The franchise ran a long Players’ Development Program (PDP) which featured 113,000 cricketers from Punjab and found out the best players to be appointed in the team.
In the second edition, the team is hopeful to win the trophy, and is believed to be the best prepared side.
Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana said, “We are well prepared; players have done a lot of hard work. We have the best of local talent and the best leader in T20 Cricket, Brendon McCullum.”
“InshaAllah, Lahore will be a tough side to beat,” he said.
“Being in Dubai before other teams would provide our players an opportunity to get together, this will also give Brendon an opportunity to see the players we found in our PDP,” Atif said.
Lahore Qalandars will formally launch their PSL 2017 campaign on 10th February by taking on the finalist from the previous edition, Quetta Gladiators.
